WORK
Western Sydney Parklands
Visual Identity
Yours to explore
CHALLANGE
Encompassing 5,280 hectares and spanning across 27km, Western Sydney Parklands hosts an array of over 60km of tracks and trails. The task at hand involved crafting an identity for the parklands that encapsulated its emphasis on returning to the core values
of nature, family, friends, and enjoyment.
OUTCOME
I created an engaging and playful logo mark within a design system that seamlessly blended the map and diverse activities and spaces within the parklands area. Components from the logo mark were utilised as supplementary graphics, featured in both digital and print mediums, website, wayfinding signage, and vehicle livery.

Unveiling the Parklands' Spirit
Having delved into the diverse activities and spaces across the parklands, we crafted a lively and whimsical logo mark mirroring the park’s map. Each unique icon in the logo shows something you can do or a place there, capturing what makes each spot special. Additionally, meticulous consideration was devoted to exploring various colour palettes to elevate the logo’s visual appeal.
Vivid Reports Unveiling New Initiatives
In addition to a style guide, we created 'New Developments' reports that expanded on the visual identity. These reports utilised colour to highlight specific regions within the parklands that were undergoing new initiatives.
Building Momentum
During the parklands' construction phase, posters were designed to inform the public about the ongoing developments and different stages of the Capital Works Program. Additionally, the parklands' identity was incorporated into wayfinding signage and vehicle livery.
